Mississippi
Landscapes
Although I was not born in Mississippi I
have lived in the magnolia state since a southern beauty captured my
heart a number of years ago. I have enjoyed the the charm, beauty,
cultural diversity and true southern hospitality of our state. I
consider myself fortunate to live in a state that offers so much to it's
citizens in the way of scenic diversity. Beginning with the Gulf of
Mexico with it's beaches, islands, forts, lighthouses, ship yards,
shrimp boats, space rockets and not to mention a few casinos to the flat
farm lands of the delta to the rolling foothills of the smoky mountains.
I have enjoyed seeing, experiencing and photographing the rivers,
creeks, streams, swamps, delta cotton, soybean fields, catfish farms,
great pine forests, and thousand year old oaks. We are one of the few
states where our children can go freshwater and saltwater fishing, see a
wide range of birds, insects, live alligators, ducks, geese, quail,
rabbits, fox, squirrel, deer, bear, wildcats and coyotes without
leaving our state. Yes we and our children are indeed blessed.
